Positive response to The Pines

Our display apartment and villa has been inspected by hundreds of people. We’ve been encouraged by the positive response and pleased that the investment we’ve made in delivering quality homes is being noticed.

We’re always interested in hearing your feedback and we welcome you to use the form on our contact page to give us your views. To assist prospective purchasers, we’ve prepared a list of questions received since we opened and provided some responses to these.

Our Responses to Your Feedback

I need to sell my home and I may need longer than your 42 day settlement period, is this possible?
If you have a problem meeting the 42 day settlement period, talk to us! For the first stage of The Pines we can extend your settlement period for up to 6 months, but additional interest will apply.

Will the villas have separate clotheslines provided?
Yes. Every villa has an individual clothesline in the rear yard.

Will the apartments have clotheslines provided?
Yes. There will be a designated drying yard for residents.

Can I make alterations to my home?
Yes, any alterations will require approval from The Pines management which will not be unreasonably withheld.

Will the rear courtyard of the villas be private?
Yes. There will be screens dividing each villa’s courtyard.

How do I get rear access from my villa?
Villas have a rear sliding door from bedroom two to the courtyard.

I want to move into The Pines but it’s all too hard thinking about selling and moving?
If you would like help making this move, we can help you by introducing you to one of our accredited agents, who we trust and know will do the right thing by you. The Pines can also arrange packing and removal of your personal effects to The Pines. If you would like to purchase new furniture we can also introduce you to an interior designer who can help you furnish your new home.

Do I need a solicitor to review the contracts?
As your purchase is made under a Deed of Loan and Licence there is no conveyancing involved. However, The Pines would always recommend you do your due diligence and speak to a solicitor or trusted person if you do not understand any aspect of the contract.

Does the $15,000 Processing Fee go toward the purchase price?
Yes.

Feedback on parking…
Additional parking for villas has been identified. Additional visitor, Caravan and RV vehicle parking areas have been identified.

What care is available at The Pines?
We have obtained ACTPLA and The Department of Health and Ageing approvals to build a 120 bed residential aged care facility that will cater for low care, high care, extra service and dementia specific care. As every villa and apartment has been designed to adapt to people’s changing health needs; by adding a government funded care package we expect that you will be able to continue to live independently in your own property and thus avoid the premature admission to residential care. The Pines can arrange for a community care package to be provided in the event that it is needed.
